By Road

From M4 east take J17 to Chippenham
Take the A350 around Chippenham towards Trowbridge and Melksham.
At Melksham (c.8 miles) follow the road round the town, past Leekes department store.
At the roundabout on the edge of town, take the B3107 to Bradford-on-Avon.
Holt is c.2m down this road.
On entering the village, pass the Post Office on the right and Station Road on the left.
The Midlands is the next turning on the right.
Follow the road round and The Old Stable House is about half-way down on the left with a large brown gate.
If you get as far as the shop on the main road, you have overshot, but turn right immediately as The Midlands goes round in a loop.

From M4 west take J18 to Bath
Take the A46 towards Bath until you reach the underpass and follow the signs to Chippenham on the A4.
In about half a mile you will reach a roundabout, take the road (A363) off to the right towards Bradford-on-Avon. Follow this for about 4 miles.
Just after you pass the town sign for Bradford, take the left fork signposted Trowbridge.
Where this meets B3107 at a T junction, turn left for Holt (signposted).
On entering the village, pass the Old Ham Tree pub on the left and The Midlands is the second turning on the left, signposted Parking for the Courts.
Follow the road past the pond, round a right-hand bend, and The Old Stable House is about half-way down on the right with a large brown gate.
If you get as far as the shop on the main road, you have overshot but continue and turn second left as The Midlands goes round in a loop. Then we will be on your left!

By Train

Chippenham is nearest main line station with frequent fast trains from Paddington.
The scenic but slower route to Bradford-on-Avon runs from Waterloo.
Local trains to Weymouth, Salisbury, Bath and Bristol run from Bradford-on-Avon.
